What if Cecilia Maria Sara Isabel Ciganer-Albeniz, the ex wife of Nicolas Sarkozy chosen for Bangladesh Shishu Academy Award for juvenile Literature? She is entitled to an amount of Bangladeshi Taka 25,000 in cash, one crest and a certificate of honor from Bangladesh for her courage to divorce a womanizer hubby. Even Bangladesh may offer asylum to Cecilia and possibly a faculty position in one of its universities! Cecilia is currently believed to be dating with advertising mogul Richard Attias.
A Bangladesh award for Cecilia can be a cultural shock to Sarkozy’s right racist regime, which announced Simone de Beauvoir award for 45 year old, Taslima Nasrin, a Bangladeshi lesbian story teller who is on exile in India.

Well I can remember a sex scandal involving a BJP MLA here just a few months back and he was asked to resign by his party.
No one really cares here that Sarkozy be dating Carla Bruni. actually, my boss happens to be an acquataince of Carla Bruni (learnt that yesterday) and let’s just say that she doesn’t have nice things to say about Miss Bruni, especially when it comes to her relationships with men.
Sarkozy is a media manipulator! In his troll mind he believes that all it takes to convince the french that he’s doing a good job is controlling the media. Headlining stories he feels the populace will be interested in to divert their attention from what he’s NOT doing – just like his divorce making the headlines smack in the middle of the strikes. (Let’s not forget, almost all the big media bosses in France are his friends… nothing gets out that isn’t wanted or controlled these days)
Then he’ll check out national surveys, see what the people are expecting… address it in a speech…and probably get married or something or even better get Ingrid Betancourt released (just like the nurses in Libya, he uses sensitive issues as ad campaigns).
I’m disgusted with the lack of class this president has and the public exposure of his personal life he willingly dishes out to deviate attention off serious issues.
French presidents have often had affairs or kids outside their marriage. Sarkozy is a man, and Carla Bruni is beautifull lady, but she is not new to this game.
As far as I know, it was Cecilia, who divorced him. I think he is right. He is not the pope !!!

He’s a very “people” President – he likes to be seen with influential personalities which is not a crime in itself. But he’s not getting his job done as a president. Noa’s quite right about his uncanny ability to make something rather important take the second stage by getting divorced (or married).
Anyway… Mrs. Bruny might be all cute, but there is no way she doesn’t look like a gold-digging, power-seeking tramp (Heather Mills, anyone?)
